This card is for the fun and cute challenge over at Paper Smooches. The set, Great Chemisty, has lots of little images which I haven't used yet, but today I found a great use for the lightbulb. I used a pen and a ruler to draw the wires, and the sentiment is from Verve. I added some sparkle to the inside of each lightbulb to make it shine!
Considering that we are in the midst of our second snowstorm in the same number of weeks, the lightbulb is timely. I am so very thankful for electricity and all the conveniences it provides, and I am also so very thankful to all the hardworking men and women who keep it up and running!

Hugs!
This cute little critter comes from the Paper Smooches set, Great Chemistry. I've used a few other images from this set, but not this one. I think this layout is perfect for him!

Boards and Beams
I'm a big fan of Papertrey Ink products, and right now they are celebrating their 7th year in business with fun prizes and contests. This card is for their recipe challenge, using a color combo and sketch which they provide. I used the Boards and Beams set for this one.

Explosive Sketch!
Playing along with this week's Retro Sketches layout. I used the Chemistry stamp set from Paper Smooches, which is loaded with lots of fun images. I cut out the beaker and smoke and adhered them with pop dots. I made 3 different versions of this card, but this is the one I liked the best.

Happy Hexagons
I don't use this Happy Hexagons set from PTI very often, but when I saw this week's CAS(E) this Sketch challenge, I knew it would work perfectly. I used the colors for the Color Throwdown challenge, also. The first picture turned out well, but the second one not so much, even after some photoshop editing. Oh, well.

Pile it On
I have a confession - I like cute stuff! The Green Thumb stamp set from Paper Smooches certainly qualifies, and is perfect for all my gardening friends at our local farmer's market.

5 Birds for 2
Playing along for the latest Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge. I am using their freebie bird digi stamp, which I modified a bit to come up with this little stack of cuteness. Polka dots make everything cute, don't they? I am also entering this in the Fusion challenge, since they also had a cute stack of birds in their photo challenge.

Hello Muse!
I love the card for this week's Muse challenge. Lime green and black is a beautiful color combo, and the clean and simple design is, well, clean and simple. I decided to incorporate all the elements of this card, with some changes of course. And the best part - I was able to use papers from my scrap bin! Sentiment is from PTI.
This is my card....
This is the Muse Inspiration Card....

Family and Friends
A friend of ours recently moved into a new home, and I've had it in my mind for a while now to make them a card. Here it is, finally, thanks to the sketch challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch. The stamps are from PTI.
Something was happening with my lighting as you can probably see with the light streak across the top of the card.

A Happy Hello
I combined a few different sets for this card, for the Addicted to CAS challenge: circles. The stamps are from the PTI sets Hello Sunshine and Polka Dot Parade #2. The inks are from Stampin Up.

Whatever the Weather
I am making cards for our church's outreach event - our "Welcome Summer" Community Fair. The colors for this week's Color Throwdown work perfectly. The only color I did not incorporate was black. The stamps are from PTI: Background Basics Medallions, Background Basics Super Stripes, and Hello Sunshine. This is the very first card I made, and since I messed up on the bottom section with the yellow, it will be my sample card which will go in my file. Now all I have to do is make 50 more of these!

Brilliant!
My first attempt at color blocking - I used a long narrow acrylic block and stamped the darker colors once on a scrap piece of paper before applying to my project. After a few failed experiments I came up with something I liked, and I will be teaching this technique to the ladies at my card club this Friday. The stamps come from PTI's Movers and Shakers seniments set. This card is for 2 challenges: CAS-ual Friday for the color blocking and Hand Stamped Sentiments for the colors.

Just Add Flowers
Just Add Ink has a sketch challenge this week, which I loved. I did change it up just a bit, though, and used flowers since those were the stamps I had out on my desk. I colored the vases and flowers with copics and added a bit of yellow stickle for sparkle and shine on the smaller clusters. The stamps are from Verve and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps.

Muse Challenge #6
I finally decided to get inspired and play along with this week's Muse card. Muse is an active card-making club, not just a challenge, which I think is a great concept. I even love their logo! I had my Papertrey Ink "Natural Beauties" out on my desk for a project I did yesterday, so I decided to let the flowers be my muse.

AC157
I was intrigued by this week's sketch challenge at the Annabelle Stamps blog, so I decided to play along. I used two different floral stamp sets - Papertrey Ink and Clear Dollar stamps. The images were stamped in white ink, then embossed with white embossing powder. I added a liquid pearl to the center of each flower. Gayatri's card was my inspiration.

Sunshine to My Soul
Sometimes when I look at a sketch a card idea instantly pops into my brain, and if I'm lucky, it will result in a fairly decent-looking card. This was the case for this week's Unscripted Sketches card sketch. And, I really like the way this one turned out. I don't often dabble in one layer cards, but with this Hello Sunshine set from Papertrey Ink, there are so very many possibilities.

I Like Mine Sweet and Creamy
My husband is determined to get me to like black coffee. We've been married over 15 years, and he still holds out hope. He claims I am almost converted because one day I took a sip of his black coffee, knowing full well that there was no milk or sugar in it. It's true, I did, and I didn't like it. I still prefer my coffee sweet and creamy.
This card is for two challenges this week. The Dynamic Duos color challenge is black and red with a valentine's theme. And a new challenge blog I recently discovered, Hand Stamped Sentiments, has a sketch challenge this week. Stamps are from Papertrey Ink.
